Fix Your Snapchat Memories Export

When you export your Snapchat memories, they come without capture dates or GPS coordinates—and you have to download each file individually. We fix that. Restore the original metadata so your memories are organized perfectly in Apple Photos and Google Photos.

The Snapchat Export Problem

No Capture Dates

Exported files lose their original capture timestamps, making your memories appear out of order.

Missing GPS Coordinates

Location data isn't included in the export, so you lose the 'where' of your memories.

Individual Downloads

Snapchat forces you to download files one by one instead of providing a convenient zip file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't Snapchat include capture dates in exports?

Snapchat's export only provides the download date, not when the photo or video was originally captured. This causes all your memories to appear as if they were taken on the same day.

What about GPS coordinates?

Snapchat exports don't include any location data (latitude/longitude) in the files, even if the original memory had location tags. Our tool restores this from the JSON metadata.

Why do I have to download files individually?

Snapchat forces you to download each file one by one instead of providing a convenient zip file. Our tool helps you organize and fix all these individually downloaded files in bulk.

Will it upload my files?

No. Everything runs locally on your desktop. Your files never leave your device.

How do I get the Snapchat JSON?

From Snapchat > Memories > Export. You receive memories_history.json along with your media files.

Is it safe for large exports?

Yes. We process in chunks and you can resume if interrupted.
